Hilaris Mr. Hilaris has over 20 years of experience in the sealing industry, from product design and development to Chief Engineer to General Management. Mr. Hilaris has spent many years in Industrial Research and Development, working for the IIT Research Institute studying military applications involving the sealing of ultra high-pressure fluids in mechanical devices. Prior to founding Hydro-Ergoseal, Inc. in 1989, Mr. Hilaris has held the position of Chief Engineer for the world's largest Mechanical Seal manufacturing company. Mr. Hilaris has published a number of original papers, mostly in the area of high pressure water jet cutting. He also holds several patents in that field and in the field of Mechanical Seals. Mr. Hilaris was also the principal investigator in a project whose objective was the evaluation of the tribological properties of a number of materials. Among the materials that were investigated some of the most important were: carbons, Tungsten Carbide, and Silicon Carbide. In a research contract with the United States Department of the Navy, Mr. Hilaris spearheaded a project that aimed at using high pressure water jets for cutting and cleaning. In another research project for the National Science Foundation, Mr. Hilaris developed equipment that was used for the high-pressure water jet cutting of concrete on bridges. Mr.
Hilaris holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Illinois at Chicago. He also holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of
Management of Northwestern University. Lou
Kamvisis Mr.
Kamvisis joined Hydro-Ergoseal, Inc. in 1994. His position is that of
Manufacturing Manager. He is responsible for all machine shop operations
at Hydro-Ergoseal. Mr. Kamvisis holds a certificate in machine shop practice
from the College of DuPage. He is responsible for all programming of Hydro-Ergoseal's
state of the art machining centers, and he is integrally involved in the
implementation of ISO 9001. Nick
Liarakos Mr. Liarakos has extensive backround in the automotive and industrial machinery industries. He has developed his engineering expertise while working for the industry-leader in automotive hand tools and diagnostic equipment. There, he served as a liaison among product design, manufacturing, service, and customer support operations. In his most recent capacity, Mr. Liarakos was the primary engineer providing technical support for a multi-million dollar product line to field-service personnel, sales staff, and end-users. Additionally, Mr. Liarakos was responsible for a project exploring practical methods for more precise dimensional control of finished components in thermoplastic injection-molding processes. While at Northwestern University, Mr. Liarakos was integrally invloved in a project aimed at maximizing the service life of an automotive manual transmission. This was an integrated analysis of gear and clutch design, bearing selection, seal design, and material properties in a tribological context. Mr. Liarakos'extensive theoretical and practical experience with mechanical systems facilitates Hydro-Ergoseal's commitment to produce the highest-quality, lower-cost mechanical seals and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and support. Mr.
Liarakos has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Northwestern University. |
